Deion about Procedure: 

The patient was suffering from pus discharge from an external opening in perianal region. On examination it was found that patient has a fistulous tract. The external opening was at 3 O cloak position and the internal opening was at 6 o clock position. The tract was palpated and probing was done. Under local anesthesia probe inserted through external opening and taken out from internal opening and one plane Lenin thread was placed. After ensuring hemostasis anti septic dressing was applied with pressure bandaging.

This thread will be replaced by Ksharasutra on next week and so on keep changing with fresh Ksharasutra as per requirement till the tract will not heal. Ksharasutra is very effective treatment in the management of Bhagandar (Fistula in ano).
