female pt aged 45yr present with complaint of sudden acute episode of sneezing with tickling in nose and thin watery discharge from nose. Complaints were persistent since 7 days.

She has already taken other conventional medicine including steroids which didn't relieve.

There was severe tickling in nose with sneezing continuous,  followed by dry cough,and stitching pain in throat with, profuse bland lachrymayion.

Sneezing was aggravated with slightest draft of air, aggravation in morning.

Throat Complaints were aggravated by lying down, sleep.

All the Complaints were aggravated markedly on alternate days. She feels better one day and on other day again Complaints starts.

With these, she had dryness of lips, increased thirst, perspiration on face, and thermal state was Hot, even though Complaints were aggravated with draft of wind.

On examination :- No fever 

Pulse:- 78/min

BP:-120/70mmhg 

RR:-15/min 

BILATERAL AIR ENTERY PRESENT. 

DIAGNOSIS:- ACUTE ALLERGIC RHINITIS.

As it was an acute case with prominent modalities and concomitant, boenninghausen's approach was considered for solving case giving importance to peculiar modalities of aggravation on alternate day and slightest draft of air aggravation. 

POTENCY SELECTION :- on basis of sensitivity and susceptibility, as it was an hypersensitivity reaction, higher POTENCY 200 was selected to prevent aggravation. 

Medicine prescribed:-

NATRUM CARB 200 IN WATER POTENCY ,1 powder was dissolved in 6 spoon of water, and 1 spoon was given at interval of 3 hrs.

FOLLOW UP:- 

DAY 1:- There was much improvement in sneezing, lachrymation , but generally she was still not feeling well as sleep was disturbe due to throat Complaint which were SQ .

Medicine:- NATRUM CARB 200 1 powder dissolve in 6 spoon water and 1 spoon at every 6 hr.

Repetition was decreased as there  was relief in distress,but medicine was continue as sleep generals were yet not improved.

DAY 2:- fever developed and suddenly there was severe sneezing lachrymation, as it was before and with throat complaint SQ.

But sleep was improved, she had good appetite and started to have Desire for eating. 

Medicine prescribed:-

Was SAC LAC 4 pills at every 3 hour.

As generals were improved and fever was developed which was good sign.

It was expected to have homoeopathic aggravation as it was hypersensitivity reaction. 

FOLLOW UP:- By that day evening all Complaints were improved 

No sneezing 

No throat pain ,coughing 

No lachrymation 

Sleep good 

Appetite good .
