CASE STUDY ON AMOEBIASIS

Story By Director NIN

A male patient of age 24 came to NIN OPD with the complaint of blood
and pus in stool since one month. The frequency of defecation
increased from one to four times per day after the onset of the
complaint. He had to defecate soon after having food. He was already
diagnosed with amoebiasis and was taking allopathic medication for
the same since one month with no results.

When consulted in detail, he mentioned about the
frequent travel that he should do as a part of his work. His sleep was
sound and he doesn’t have any addiction. He mentioned about work
stress and inability to deal with multitasking.
DOCTOR’S PERCEPTION:
When looking into the root cause, the patient got an infection and the
infection is caused due to two reasons:
1. Altered natural environment of the body – When you eat and
drink wrongly, this changes your gut environment making it a
conductive environment for the pathogenic microbes to grow.
2. Lowered Immunity – Our body can be active in either of the two
modes at a time:
 Growth
 Survival

It means, when your mind perceives your environment to be safe, your
growth and immunity will be in peak level. Similarly, when your body
perceives your environment to be unsafe, the opposite will happen.
The perception is the key to our health.

PLANNING THE TREATMENT
The main goal of the treatment is to allow the body to heal itself. Our
only work is to create a conductive environment for the same.
A step by step approach was taken to deal with the root cause:
1. Changing the perception: Meditation was taught to him on the
first day and was asked to be practiced for lifetime. He was
counseled to give him clarity of his problems and negative beliefs
associated with it.
2. As the patient was not able to take leave from his work, he was
put on intermittent fasting. In intermittent fasting, he was
allowed to have only 2 meals in a day. Lunch at 12pm and dinner
at 6pm. This process allows 18 hours of absolute fasting which
gives adequate time for the gut to heal. He was allowed to take
fruits for lunch and steamed vegetables for dinner.
3. In treatments, he was given hip bath followed by a mud pack to
the abdomen and eyes to boost up the gut healing. This was
continued for six days.
RESULT
The patient religiously followed all of the advices and treatments. He
became a regular meditator. From third day his bleeding and pus
stopped completely. Patient mentioned about increased energy and
peace of mind. His diet was further changed to a grain free diet for
another 6 days. Later he was advised to take a diet rich in millets,
nuts and vegetables to ensure enough pre-biotics coming into his
diet. He was strictly advised to avoid milk products for another one
month. A follow up was taken after two months to ensure the long

term effect of healing and he confirmed the sustainable effect of his
better eating habit and meditation. Patient is totally relaxed and
healthy.
“The power to heal resides within you- It’s the greatest gift of
nature.
