The Centre government has initiated a big step by announcing 21 Ayush Health and Wellness Centres in the J&K valley. This model will contribute to reduce the expenditure on the healthcare of the beneficiaries.

The prime focus of Ayush interventions is to educate and enlighten the public for “self-care” to stay preventive against the diseases by embracing healthy food, yoga, medicinal plants, and a disciplined lifestyle.

Union Minister Jitendra Singh said that the Ayush Health and Wellness Programme will not only offer essential health services to the needy but it will also promote Ayush at the World level. These 21 centres are part of the ‘Ayushman Bharat’ initiative.

Shri Shripad Naik, Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) addressed the event and shared how the Post-Harvest Management Centre in the Bhaderwah region has been highly demanded by the people of the region. The people of the region strongly believe that this will help in cultivating different Himalayan medicinal plant species.

The Minister admired the step of UT government officials in deploying a centrally-sponsored programme. He further added that the government is working according to the priority-based development project for Jammu & Kashmir.
