Male pt aged 25 presented with sudden onset of pain in throat. 

There  was scraping sensation and burning pain in throat especially right side of throat.

Left side of throat was completely normal with no distress.

Complaints started with Ailments from draft of cold air, and drinking cold drinks. 

Pain and discomfort in throat was better by cold drinks.

And complaints were aggravated by swallowing and by warm drinks.

On examination there was congestion of throat with redness and inflammation on right side of tonsils with small pus filled follicles on right tonsils. 

Appetite:- decreased 

Taste:- Metallic 

Thirst;- at every few hr 1 glass of cold water.

salivation increased 

Temperature:- 101 F 

Pulse:- 100/min 

RR:-17/min 

Dx:- Tonsillitis 

Medicine prescribed:- 

MERC IOD FLAVUS 200 

Dose :- 1 powder dissolved in 6 spoon of water and was taken at every 3 hourly. 

Medicine was continued for one day, one powder dissolved was given 

Follow up:- There was no scraping sensation in throat,  no burning in throat ,can swallow with no difficulty , salivation normal , and desire to eat ,Appetite improved. 

Sac lac 4 pills three times a day for 3 days
