On August 8, 2022, a Rangoli Competition was held at the National Institute of Homoeopathy in Kolkata to honor India's 75th anniversary of independence. The NIH students, including both UG and PGT students, were urged to freely participate in the tournament, which they approached with enthusiasm.

The coordinators from the teacher’s side were Dr. Indrani Chakrabarti, Dr. Ompriya Mishra, Dr. Syed Afsar Ali, along with student coordinators from the PGT’S, Dr. Arpita Sen and Dr. Gauri Avinashi.It was planned to hold the competition from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon. There were 13 teams competing against one another, and each team consisted of two people. "Independence Day with representation of national bird, animal, flower, or national hero" was the event's predetermined subject. The entire event was professionally run, and modest refreshments were offered throughout.

All participants religiously participated and came up with unique designs which decorated the ground floor of the Academic building of NIH.
