Success Stories of Dr. HAMID ALI, Assistant Professor, Dept. of IBT, NIUM PATIENT NAME : GHOUSE PASHA Age: 46 years Sex: male Mr. Ghouse Pasha, 46 years male, came to the National Institute of Unani Medicine Hospital with the complaint of Non-Healing Venous Ulcers over the anterior and medial aspect of the left leg. According to him, he was apparently well 10 years back and then he noticed dilatation of veins over both the legs, for which he consulted Victoria Hospital, where he was advised to use compression stockings. Since then, he is using stockings regularly. But, in 2009 he developed roughness, itching and swelling in the left lower leg which gradually worsened and turned into ulcers over the anterior and medial aspect of left leg. He consulted various hospitals, but ulcers did not respond to any kind of treatment and was advised for bypass graft surgery. The patient refused surgery due to a substantial chance of recurrence and came to the National Institute of Unani Medicine Hospital where we successfully treated this case of non-healing venous ulcers with the local application of a compound Unani formulation (Gandhak, Suhaga, Murgarsang, Sangjarahat, Safeda Kashghari, Kundur, Raal, Kafoor, Mom Zard, Desi Ghee).
