Introduction: Eczema is the most frequent hand disorder, as well as the most common occupational skin disease (OSD). Only severe cases of hand dermatitis are detected in dermatology outpatient departments, as patients rarely present with early hand dermatitis. Only during occupational screening are mild types detected. Even after avoiding contact with the incriminated allergen / irritant, hand eczema (HE) might develop into a chronic illness with persistent disease. Atopy (particularly dermatitis), wet work, and contact allergy are all key risk factors for hand eczema. In most studies, women have a higher incidence than men due to environmental variables, and this is particularly true of younger women in their twenties. Preventive measures are crucial in therapy because they allow those who are impacted to stay healthy.
