Pharmacopoeia Commission for Indian Medicine and Homoeopathy (PCIM&H), MoA conducted the first meeting of the Pharmacopoeia Committee today. Various issues related to Indian ASU&H pharma industries along with the challenges faced in exporting ASU&H drugs were discussed.
The committee was chaired by Prof. Mita Kotecha, Professor and Head, Department of Dravyaguna, Pro. Vice Chancellor and Dean UG Studies, National Institute of Ayurveda, Jaipur. Prof. M. C. Sharma, Chairman, Scientific Advisory Body, Dr. Kaustubha Upadhyay, Advisor (Ayurveda), MoA, Prof. (Vd) P. K. Prajapati, Director In-charge, PCIM&H & Dr. Galib, Associate Professor, AIIA also participated in the meeting.
Industry representatives appreciated the concept of “One Nation, One Herb, One Standard” for ASU&H drugs, which will be one unified standard of one herb used in various systems of medicines.
