Sewa Pakhwada - 2022 at NIS

As per the Instructions of competent authority, NIS has conducted a free Health Camp for Kuzhandhai Maruthuvam and Sool Magalir Maruthuvam on 27.09.2022 in connection with Sewa Pakhwada -2022 activities.

Dr. K. Suresh, Associate professor, Dept. of Kuzhandhai Maruthuvam – Co-ordinator of this camp programme welcomed the gathering.

The camp was conducted between 10.00 am and 01.00 pm. Previously a wide publicity was made through PA system from morning onwards. About fifteen women were consulted with gynecological experts for their gynecological issues and for their children also.

Dr. E. Gowsalya, Dr. R. Sainivedha, Dr. S. Eswari and Dr. P. Abirami PG Scholars consulted the patients and prescribed medicines and advices for needy people

After finishing the camp, following series of awareness of lectures were provided by PG Scholars to the women patients, supporting staff and teenage girls.

1. Awareness on Breast cancer and Self breast examination by Dr. M. Tamilselvi

2. Awareness on Cervical cancer by Dr. R. Deepika

3. Knowledge on Magapperu Sanjeevi Pettagam by Dr. T. Thabashini

4. Knowledge and awareness about Exclusive breast feeding and Uraimathirai by Dr. A. Maruthabarani

5. Healthy way to approach Menopause by Dr. M. Poovarasi

Dr. K. Karpagavalli, RMO (Kuzhandhai Maruthuvam) interacted with patients and cleared about the doubts raised

Dr. R. Sainivedha and Dr. R.S. Lakshmi Prasannaa P.G Scholars helped more in co-ordinating the event.
