International Women’s Day was observed on 8th March, 2022 in the Institute at 2:30 pm in the Seminar hall. The program was graced by Smt.(Dr.) Sarbari Sen, External member of Internal complaints Committee, NIH as the Chief Guest, Prof.(Dr.) Subhas Singh, Director, NIH as the Guest of Honor and Prof.(Dr.) Ompriya Mishra, HoD, Dept of Gynae and Obstetrics, as Chairperson of the committee constituted to observe International Women’s Day, 2022. 

A debate competition was organized on the topic “Men are critical to the feminist movement” in the seminar hall. Skits were performed on the topic “ Sashakt nari se hi hoga sashakt samaj” by 30th batch students and another skit on the topic “Beti bachao beti padhao” by 32nd batch students.

A slogan writing and poster making competition were also held on the topic “Break the Bias”. 

Earlier in the day, during the OPD hours, there was distribution of sanitary pads to women of reproductive age group in the outdoor patient department and in the female ward at the indoor patient department. 

The OPD registration fees for women patients were made free for the day with prior approval of the authority. 

As a token of respect to all the women working at the Institute, a pen was handed over by Joint Director (Admin). 

Banners were put up at two different areas of the Institute to mark the observation of the day.
