INTRODUCTION (1,2)
A chalazion is one of the most encountered inflammatory disorders of the eyelid in general medical practice. It forms due to blockage and swelling of an oil gland in the eyelid. It may start with a small, red, tender, swollen area of the eyelid and within a few days, it may change to painless, non-tender eyelid nodules commonly occurring in the upper eyelid and less frequently in the lower eyelid. A chalazion is typically benign and self-limiting, do often disappear within a few months without any treatment. Conventional treatment includes antibiotic or corticosteroid eye drops and surgery but laser eye surgery has the complication of deformities of the cornea.

Reportorial analysis
Considering the above symptomology, Kent repertory was preferred, and using RADAR software repertorisation was done. The repertorisation chart is presented in below figure
After repertorisation, many medicinces were competing with each other, namely Calcarea, Silecea, where the maximum number of symptoms was covered by Calcarea (i.e., 9 out of 10) with maximum score. Ultimately, on considering with materia medica, Calcarea carbonica 30c, one dose was prescribed in the first visit.

Conclusion
Chalazion is one of the most common cystic lesions effecting the eyelid. Although many cases are tiny or small in size, some are large enough to cause significant pressure on eye globe causing visual obstruction. Individualized Homoeopathic medicine plays a vital role to treat such inflammatory condition. Therefore, Homoeopathy not only treat the disease condition but also helps in prevention of recurrent attack.
